Hardie's Jewelry

Legal Disclaimer

Jess05490202Hardie's Jewelry opened its doors for business in 1956 by its owner, Jess O. Hardie. Jess's interesting professional career began in 1940 as an apprentice jeweler and hand engraver at Haltom's Jewelry Store in downtown Fort Worth, Texas. Though his interest in the jewelry industry held his fascination, at age nineteen following the attack on Pearl Harbor, Jess could not resist the urge to join the military in support of his country. After a four year stint in the Army Air Corp he was drawn back into the industry and worked for other jewelers honing his skills until he started his own business in the established TCU area of Fort Worth. He owned and operated that business until 1983 at which time it was purchased by Mr. Dale Biester who had worked for Jess for twenty four years. The store located at 3500 Bluebonnet Circle still carries the name of Hardie's Jewelry.

Dale's employment started with Hardies Jewelry in October, 1960, at the age sixteen as a watch repair apprentice. For twenty four years he worked closely and diligently under Jess's tutelage and it soon become apparent that he had attained for himself the distinction of being a master jeweler and designer of fine jewelry.

As demands and technology continue to advance Hardies is committed to advance in these constantly changing areas. In March of 1989 Dale graduated from the Gemological Institute of America. Also in June 1993 Dale was awarded the very prestigious title of Certified Gemologist Appraiser from American Gem Society. Our newest acquisition is a micro-laser welder which all us to work with exotic and precious metals as never before.
